Your electric utility shapes how solar pays off
Morgan City runs its own electric utility and is a member of Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems. If your home or business is on Morgan City's system, your solar terms come from the city rather than from Rocky Mountain Power's Schedule 137.
For Rocky Mountain Power customers in Utah, solar falls under Schedule 137, Net Billing Service. Energy your system sends to the grid earns an export credit rate, with separate summer (June through September) and winter (October through May) rates reviewed and approved by the Utah Public Service Commission. The most recent revision took effect March 1, 2026.
Because the rules differ by utility, we confirm which utility serves your address, and its current solar terms, before we put a number on your savings.
