How the Reliance Panel works

Whole-home backup without the whole-home price tag.

Built for portable backup

Use a compatible battery or generator to keep selected circuits powered during an outage. We confirm the source, inlet, cord, and load plan before installation.

You pick the circuits

It wires directly into your existing subpanel. When the power goes out, you plug your source into the Reliance Panel and choose exactly which circuits to keep running.

Hours of backup

Even a small portable generator should power your essentials for 3+ hours depending on the load — plenty to keep the food cold, the house warm, and a few lights on.

A fraction of whole-home cost

Get real outage protection for a fraction of the tens of thousands that whole-home backup systems cost.

What the install includes

We mount the Reliance Panel and wire it to one existing subpanel, right next to the circuits you want backed up — a clean, tidy install like the example shown.

The prices here cover that standard install. If your setup is different — say a separate upstairs and downstairs panel and you want circuits from both backed up — that's a custom job. Reach out and we'll put together a quote for it.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is the Reliance Panel?
It’s a manual transfer panel that a qualified electrician wires to selected circuits in your breaker panel. During an outage, it lets you safely feed those circuits from a compatible portable power source instead of trying to power the entire home.
What's the difference between the 6- and 10-circuit panels?
The 6-circuit option is the Reliance Controls 306A: a 125/250V, 30A panel with a NEMA L14-30 inlet. The 10-circuit option is the A510A: a 125/250V, 50A panel with an SS2-50 inlet. The larger panel can serve more selected circuits, including supported 240V loads.
What power source should I choose?
Start with the circuits you want to keep running and how long you need backup. The DELTA Pro is a 3.6kWh portable battery for essential loads; the DELTA Pro Ultra starts at 6.1kWh with 120/240V output, and an extra battery takes it to about 12.3kWh. Before installation, we confirm the source, connection hardware, and load plan with you.
Does the price include installation?
Yes. Every bundle price shown is for the equipment professionally installed in Utah, mounted and wired to one subpanel near the circuits you want to back up.
How does payment work?
For a professional install, checkout collects a $50 refundable deposit to reserve your installation. We’ll contact you within two business days to confirm the details and schedule the work; the remaining balance is billed after installation is complete.
Can I buy the hardware without installation?
Yes. Select Hardware only in the configurator and pay the full equipment price at checkout. We’ll follow up to arrange pickup or delivery in Utah.
